Caligula is the next chapter of Myriam Swanson who is born as a solo artist with this new project. Singer, songwriter and producer, a profound, chameleon-like and courageous artist with the necessary quality to realise her ideas.
Caligula is the story of a cruel emperor, but also a metaphor of the most radical punk, of the madness that precedes liberation and establishes freedom as a rule. Caligula is both victim and executioner of his own liberation. That is what happens to the artist.

Early 2025 will mark the release of Calígula, Myriam Swanson‘s highly anticipated first solo album. Produced by Martín García Duque this record sees Myriam taking a considered step away from the distinctive sound she has crafted over the past decade with bands like Flamingo Tours, Magnolia, and The Rhythm Treasures.
Daring and mature, Calígula sees the artist in a layered and resonant space, blending craftsmanship with deep emotional insight.
Across eleven tracks in both English and Spanish, Myriam demonstrates an organic approach to songwriting and a determination to capture a reflective and transformative period in her life. This album carves out a fresh, innovative path, marking an exciting new chapter in her career.

In it, a woman without make-up, dressed in street clothes, who doesn't try to hide, tries to follow the dictatorship of our times, the steps of a decadent dance towards the impossible... and she doesn't succeed... her movements are erratic.
Myriam Swanson
Myriam Swanson is a seasoned artist, renowned for her fearless creativity and versatility. Throughout her pioneering artistic development, she has honed the craft and expertise to bring her creative vision to life, both as an independent force and a collaborative talent.
With deep musical roots, Myriam has been the driving force behind numerous self-led projects, founding and leading bands that showcase her distinctive vision, while also collaborating with some of Spain’s most influential musicians.
Since 2012, Myriam Swanson has toured extensively across the country, with each of her bands. She has performed at many of the nation’s most prestigious venues and festivals, becoming a regular presence on Radio 3 and showcasing her projects on national television programs like La Hora Musa.
In addition to her musical career, Myriam hosts the podcast La Pistolera and frequently collaborates on radio programs and panel discussions. She holds a degree in Humanities and excels as a technical producer, music producer, and active member of MIM (Women in the Music Industry).
